Date: Saturday 12th July

Time: 9am-3pm

Divisions: Year 7-9 & Year 10-12

Games: First to 21 (2’s and 1’s) or 10 minute clock

Teams: 4 players per team - 4 games minimum guaranteed

Team registration: $199

Competition Format and Rules:

Game Structure:

• Court: All games are played in the half-court with 1 hoop

• Game Duration: First to 21 points (2s and 1s) or 10-minute time limit

• Possession:

  • After a made basket, the other team takes the ball under the hoop and clears it

  • After a defensive rebound or steal, the ball must be cleared behind the arc

  • After a held ball the defensive team always gets the ball

  • No jump ball – check the ball at the top to start play.

• Game Start: Coin toss decides first possession

• Tiebreaker: Golden Point (next basket wins)

Officiating:

• Referees Provided: Games will be officiated by qualified referees

Fouls & Free Throws:

• Shooting Fouls: Inside the key = One free throw for 1 point

  Outside the key = Two free throws for 2 points

• Team Fouls: When teams reach 7 fouls, the opposing team gets 2 free throws for every defensive foul thereafter

• Individual Fouls: When a player reaches 6 individual fouls they will foul out of the game
